Jet Aviation recently celebrated the 20th anniversary of its operation in Hong Kong. The aircraft management and charter business in Hong Kong was established at the end of September 2001. In May 2008, the company expanded its activities to include a line maintenance facility. Jet Aviation established its regional aircraft charter and management business in Hong Kong with one AOC, one aircraft and a handful of employees. Today, the company’s 40-member regional aircraft charter and management team manages a fleet of 35 aircraft, as well as nearly 80 flight crews in 10 Asia-Pacific (APAC) countries.

“Jet Aviation is fully committed to APAC and will continue to partner with OEMs and aviation authorities to best meet the evolving needs of our customers,” said Joe Reckling, senior vice president of APAC regional operations. “This anniversary is a measure of our commitment to the region, where we look forward to continued growth for the next 20 years and beyond. “

The Company’s Senior Director of Aircraft Management for APAC, Carlos Gomez, added: “We are very proud and grateful to celebrate twenty years of hard work, building successful relationships and trusting partnerships with our dedicated employees and our loyal customers in Hong Kong. In September 2001, against all odds, we applied for and obtained an AOC to meet the needs of a local business jet owner in Hong Kong. Twenty years later, we are delighted to continue to improve our service offerings to simplify aircraft ownership for our business aircraft customers. From technical expertise, regulatory knowledge and maintenance assistance to flight planning and staffing, we offer a full range of personalized programs, with safety at the heart of everything we do.

The Hong Kong operation has also expanded its line maintenance capabilities over the years. The facility holds Hong Kong Department of Civil Aviation (CAD) approval for the Maintenance Repair Station, FAA Repair Station Certificate # 6JAY388B, and Mainland China JMM approval for aircraft registered in the PRC, in addition to 12 other country approvals through its sister facility in Singapore.

Jet Aviation is a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) with approximately 4,000 employees and 50 locations worldwide. Jet Aviation’s offerings include aircraft management, aircraft sales, charter, finishes, defense, FBO, maintenance and staffing.
